Shootpool Sharks are top of the Premier after a 10-2 demolition of Top John away from home. David Feore and Chris Mottau put Shootpool Sharks 2-0, before Mark Kane won to get Top John off the mark. Adam Pavey then made it 3-1, before Liam Smith again pulled one back for Top John. But it was all one way traffic from then on, and Shootpool Sharks won the remaining seven frames without reply. The run included two wins for Robert Mutch, second wins for David, Chris and Adam, plus wins for Gordon Sweeney and Steve Dutton, as Shootpool Sharks ran out 10-2 winners.
SP Blacks matched the Shootpool Sharks scoreline as they recorded a huge 10-2 win at home against Honey Bee Stingerz, to stay just a point behind the leaders. Dave Green, Mike Chappell, Martin Langley and Andy Taylor all won as SP Blacks raced into a 4-0 lead. Honey Bee Stingerz pair Jeremy Collins and Gary East won either side of an Adam Jackow frame to reduce the deficit to 5-2, but in the second half, the five winners for SP Blacks in the first half doubled up by winning again in the second half to extend the final result to 10-2.
New Zealand "B" dropped down to third in the table, but still managed to pull off a decent 8-4 win away to a good The Swan side. Keith Jones, Doug Campbell and Jamie Whittaker all won early for New Zealand "B", only for Paul Mart and David Gray to win and keep The Swan in it. Wins for Ade Lansdown and Larry Baker, either side of a second win for Keith, extended the New Zealand "B" record to 6-2 early in the second half. A win for Colin Rogan and a second for David reduced the The Swan deficit down to just 6-4, but second wins for Jamie and Ade late on secured the 8-4 for New Zealand "B".
Shootpool 'A' recorded their firstwin of the season after coming back from 5-2 down to win 7-5 away from home against New Zealand 'A'. John McLernon gave New Zealand 'A' the first frame lead, before wins for Richard Herring and Richard Meek made it 2-1 to Shootpool 'A'. But wins for James Chilton, Brian Lopez and Kingsley Dudley made it 4-2 to New Zealand 'A' at half time. A second for John made it 5-2, but that was when the comeback began. Chris Eley, Martin White and Dave Mentiply all won to level the scores at 5-5, before a second for Richard Meek put Shootpool 'A' ahead. James Connor then won the final frame to make sure the comeback and the 7-5 victory was complete.
The final match saw The Brick Slayers and The Roths follow up opening week draws with another 6-6 draw this week to both stay joint fourth in the table. Jason Hoff won the opening frame for The Brick Slayers, before wins for Rory Sore and Neil Roberts made it 2-1 to The Roths. Lars Bjart, Neil Bartholomew and Stephen Page then all won and turned the match around to a 4-2 The Brick Slayers lead. Ben Johnson and Darren Owen then both won to level the scores, before Rory won his second to put The Roths 5-4 up. The match turned again when Lars and Stephen both won their second of the night, but the match ended 6-6 when Neil won his second frame of the match.
