The Vic Club are on the verge of securing the Division 1 title after two wins for Darren Stone and Oliver Burgess gave them a 7-5 home win against 9th placed The Swanderers. After taking a 3-0 lead, they were pegged back to 3-3, but got over the win line by winning the final frame decider.
2nd placed Honey Bee Stingerz failed to make any ground on the leaders though, after they were held to a 6-6 draw by 6th placed Shoot Wonky. Two wins each for Gary East and Jeremy Collins had put Honey Bee Stingerz 6-4 up with two to play, but a second win on the night for Martin Sullivan helped rescue the draw for Shoot Wonky
Shootpool cemented their place in 3rd with a convincing 9-3 home win against 9th placed Nomads, thanks to two wins each for Nathan Brooks, Debbie Roberts and Teresa Collins.
4th placed Shootpool Blues fought back well to rescue a 6-6 draw with 7th placed Kennedy GC. After trailing 4-2 at half time, a second win for Charlie Corbyn helped Shootpool Blues get back on level terms, before Kennedy GC went 6-4 up thanks to a second for Darren Collard. But a second for Stacy Smith helped rescue the draw for Shootpool Blues.
Finally, 5th side Top John were 8-4 winners away to bottom side We Love A Double. Evan Wakelam, Ben Saunders and Max Burgess all won twice on the night for the visitors.
