100% Blacks and Fubar Take Control

SP Blacks won the battle of the top two in Group A by comfortably beating Shootpool Blues 9-2 to remain the only team still 100% in the group after five matches. A narrow 6-5 victory for We All Need Kev against Shit A Brick saw them move into a share of second place, only behind on frame difference. Elsewhere, The Dairy Maid and The Vic Club stay in 4th and 5th respectively, after both winning 7-4 away from home, against Top John and Weavers' Beavers & Balls respectively. And finally, Cottonwheelers got their first win of the summer with a 7-4 win against Wonky Monkey.

100% Fubar won 6-5 in the top of the table clash in Group B against previously unbeaten Wacky Waving sMipers to take over at the top. In the race for third, Honey Bee Stingerz won 7-4 against The Roths to move above them into third, while Dairy Maid Krazies are also on the same amount of points after a 7-4 win against bottom side Summer Chicks. Elsewhere, Misfits got back to winning ways with a 8-3 over The Feathers, and Ari Potters won 6-5 against Shootpool.

GROUP A

SP Blacks made it 5 wins in 5 matches as they comfortably beat previously unbeaten Shootpool Blues 9-2 to move clear at the top of Group A. Mike Chappell, Troy Brett, Dave Green and Peter Ward all won twice, with Mike and Peter each winning one of their frames with a break and dish.

We All Need Kev moved into a tie of second place, behind only on frame difference, as two wins each for Kevin Smith and Jason Harper helped them to a narrow 6-5 victory over Shit A Brick.

The Dairy Maid are in fourth place, as after they took a 4-0 lead, they cruised to a 7-4 away win against Top John with Grant Mullender winning twice for the visitors, and Max Burgess winning twice in reply for the hosts.

The Vic Club moved up to fifth place, as two wins for Mark Tumilty and Steve Marshall helped them to a 7-4 away win against Weavers' Beavers & Balls.

And finally, Cottonwheelers secured their first win as a team, and first points on the board this summer, as two wins each for Jon Henry, Jake Bartlett and Dave Coleman helped them to a 7-4 win against Wonky Monkey, who had Dominic Whittaker winning twice in reply.

Group B

Fubar won the big match at the top of Group B, coming back from 3-1 down to win 6-5 against previously unbeaten Wacky Waving sMipers to overtake their opponents and move into top spot. Two wins from Martin Langley and David Feore helped Fubar to the important victory.

Honey Bee Stingerz won six straight frames on their way to a 7-4 against The Roths, to move above their opponents into third place in the table, with Stephen Page and Gary East both winning twice on the night.

Dairy Maid Krazies moved up to 5th place in the table, after coming back from 3-2 down to win 7-4 against bottom side Summer Chicks, with Shaun Durham and Bob Kmuk both winning twice for the hosts, and Adrian Barrett winning twice in reply for Summer Chicks.

Misfits ended a run of three straight defeats as they took a convincing 8-3 victory back from their trip to The Feathers, with Tony Festa, Nathan Thomas and Michaela Chapman all winning twice on the night.

Ari Potters got their second win in three matches with a 6-5 win against Shootpool. After taking a 4-1 lead before being pegged back to level scores, a second on the night for Vicky Friston helped Ari Potters over the win line. A returning Ben Collins won twice in reply for Shootpool.
