GROUP A

In Group A, SP Blacks completed their group stage with a 9-2 win against already-eliminated 9th place side Cottonwheelers to end their group stage with a 100% record. Peter Ward, Adam Jackow, Mike Chappell and Dave Green all won twice for the hosts on the night.

We All Need Kev were already guaranteed 2nd spot in the group, but still signed off with a 6-5 win against 3rd placed Shootpool Blues, thanks to a scotch doubles decider win for Phil Crow and Graham Spencer. Earlier in the game, Kevin Smith had won twice for We All Need Kev, as did Frank Almeida for Shootpool Blues.

With Shootpool Blues, there was a chance for Shit A Brick to capture 3rd spot, but also fell to a last frame defeat, losing 6-5 to Top John, who finished in 8th. Darren McGeorge won twice for the hosts, but after two wins for Alex Parker kept them in the game, the pair of Max Burgess and Ben Saunders won it for Top John.

Another team within a shout for third place fell to a defeat as The Vic Club, who finished 5th, were beaten 6-5 by 6th placed The Dairy Maid, thanks to two wins each for Calvin Baldwin and Richard Edney.

And finally, 7th placed Weavers' Beavers & Balls finished on a high note, taking 3-1 and 6-2 leads on the way to winning 6-5 against bottom side Wonky Monkey, with Adam Knight winning twice for the hosts, and Kyle Cairnie winning twice in return for Wonky Monkey.

GROUP B

Fubar completed their group stage with a 100% record, but didn't have it all their own way as they edged to a 7-4 win against Ari Potters, aided by two awarded frames due to a lack of players. Martin Langley also won two frames on the night for Fubar as well.

Wacky Waving sMipers finished in second place with a routine 9-2 away win against bottom side Summer Chicks, with Chris Eley, Kyle O'Brien and Paul Kanchanlall all winning twice for the visitors.

3rd placed The Roths ended their group stage with a decent 9-2 home win against 8th placed Misfits. James Wood, Vince King, Darren Owen and Rory Sore all won twice, and the hosts were aided by two awarded frames as well for the comfortable scoreline.

In the battle for 4th place, Shootpool came out 7-4 winner against Honey Bee Stingerz, to take 4th spot from them and relegate their opponents to the Shield. Shootpool went 4-0 up on their way to victory, with Adam Green and Mike Collins both winning twice for the away side.

And finally, Dairy Maid Krazies finsihed in 6th place after they were awarded a 11-0, due to the fact already-eliminated The Feathers could not field a team on the night.

Final Group B Results

Fubar 7-4 Ari Potters

Summer Chicks 2-9 Wacky Waving sMipers

The Roths 9-2 Misfits

Honey Bee Stingerz 4-7 Shootpool

QUARTER FINAL DRAWS

The draw for the knockout rounds were, as always, seeded based on group stage performance. The winners of the respective groups play the 4th placed side of the other group, and are awarded the home draw. The 2nd placed team also have the home draw, versus the 3rd placed team from the other group.

In the Shield, the same format is followed, so it is 5th at home against 8th, and 6th at home against 7th.

Matches are played effectively as a race to 6, but following the same 10 singles and 1 scotch doubles format as the group stage.
