Semi's See sMipers/Fubar, and Honey Bee/Weavers Into Finals

PREMIER SEMI FINALS

Wacky Waving sMipers made it through to the Summer League final with a 6-4 win against SP Blacks. A win early on for Stacy Smith put Wacky Waving sMipers ahead, before Paul Ives equalised for SP Blacks. Wins for Kyle O'Brien and Barry Hodgkins then made it 3-1, before SP Blacks captain Peter Ward finished well to reduce the deficit to 3-2. Justin Hooley then won to make it 4-2, only for Mike Chappell to win to keep SP Blacks in it. A second for Kyle restored the two-frame advantage, only for Adam Jackow to win the next frame to keep it close at 5-4. But a second on the night for Justin clinched the victory 6-4 for Wacky Waving sMipers, who move on to the Final.

Fubar had a much quicker route to the Final, as they convincingly saw off The Roths 6-1. Early wins for Martin Langley, Robin Meads and Gordon Sweeney put Fubar into a 3-0 lead, before a win for Darren Owen got The Roths off the mark in frame 4. But Fubar pushed on from there, and wins for Robert Mutch and David Feore extended the lead to 5-1, before Martin won his second of the night to claim the 6-1 victory.

SHIELD SEMI FINALS

The Vic Club 3-6 Weavers' Beavers & Balls

Weavers' Beavers & Balls are through to the Shield final after beating The Vic Club 6-3 in their semi-final. Will Hammond, Zenya Heap and Chris Boggon all won early on as Weavers' Beavers & Balls raced into a 3-0 lead, but The Vic Club fought back well, and were level at 3-3 after Amber Carter, Mark Tumilty and Steve Marshall all won back to back. Into the second half, wins for Adam Knight and Stuart Robertson gave Weavers' Beavers & Balls a 5-3 lead, before a second of the night for Zenya wrapped up the 6-3 win.

Honey Bee Stingerz also made it to the Shield final with a 6-2 home win aginst visiting The Dairy Maid. The match started well for the hosts, with Stephen Page and Tim White both winning to give them a 2-0 lead, before a win for Calvin Baldwin got The Dairy Maid off the mark. Honey Bee Stingerz took control after that, with Paul Seastram, Nick Tilley and Jeremy Collins all winning, as they moved into a 5-1 lead, before Grant Mullender pulled one back for The Dairy Maid. But the 6-2 was completed when Tim won his second frame of the match.
