The Roths maintained their impressive start to the season after sweeping aside occasional neighbours Top John 10-2, while Shootpool Blues are just three points behind after they won 8-4 against 7th side Wonky Shot. Elsewhere, Dairy Maid 'A' moved into 3rd after they claimed their second successive draw, drawing 6-6 with 6th placed Kennedy GC, and Dirty Ari won their first match back in Division 1 with a 9-3 away win over winless Shootpool.

The Roths 10-2 Top John

The Roths are two wins from two games and sit atop the Division 1 table after a resounding 10-2 home win against Top John, who drop to 4th place with the defeat. The Roths won the first three frames before Top John got off the mark, but The Roths won the next seven to run away with it, with two wins on the night each for Darren Owen, Dan Hare, Rory Sore and Neil Roberts.

Wonky Shot 4-8 Shootpool Blues

After trailing 1-0 early on, Shootpool Blues then won the next seven frames without reply on their way to an 8-4 win against 7th side Wonky Shot. There was two wins each for Shootpool Blues pair Ben Bantham and Ali Munro, as well as two wins for Dominic Whittaker in reply for Wonky Shot.

Dairy Maid 'A' 6-6 Kennedy GC

Dairy Maid 'A' moved up into 3rd after they claimed their second successive draw, drawing 6-6 with 6th placed Kennedy GC. The first eight frames saw Dairy Maid 'A' take the lead four times, but every time Kennedy GC equalised the frame after, but second wins wins for Matty Donaldson, Paul Carr and Gerry Murphy had Kennedy 6-4 up and close to victory. But Dairy Maid 'A' came back well, and they rescued the draw with a second on the night for Howard Gillett.

Shootpool 3-9 Dirty Ari

After having the first week bye, Dirty Ari got their season off to a great start with a 9-3 away win over Shootpool, who remain winless. With the scores level at 2-2, Dirty Ari won the next five to claim the victory. Kevin Smith, Steve Smith, Richard Edney and Matt Cousins all won twice for Dirty Ari on the night, as the visitors moved up to 5th place in the table.

Looking Ahead...

The next Division 1 gameweek sees the current top two collide, as 2nd placed Shootpool Blues host leaders The Roths. 3rd placed Dairy Maid 'A' will be on their bye week, and 4th side Top John will be hoping to bounce back from this weeks defeat when they travel to 6th placed Kennedy GC. 5th placed Dirty Ari will be looking to make it two wins in two as they host winless Wonky Shot, and two more teams looking for their first win will face off as Washington Weavers host Shootpool.
