The Feathers 3-9 Hot Shots

League leaders Hot Shots won their first match in three to kept hold of top spot with a 9-3 away win against The Feathers, who drop to bottom of the table with the defeat. After the game was tied at 2-2 early on, Hot Shots then won six of the remaining seven frames to pull away and claim the victory. There was two wins each for Phiona Musavengana, Ed McBrearty and captain Tracy Playford. The leaders have a 3-point lead at the top of the table going into their bye week.

Misfits 4-8 Weavers' Beavers & Balls

Just three points behind the leaders, and with a game in hand, are Weavers' Beavers & Balls, who are in a rich vein of form, winning 8-4 away from home against 6th placed Misfits to claim their sixth straight league win. They didn't have it all their own way, and actually found themselves 3-1 down early on, but didn't drop a frame after that, reeling off the next seven without reply. Adam Knight and captain Jay Smith both won two frames on the night for the visitors.

The Ari Chicks 8-4 The C Team

After waiting four years for a league win, The Ari Chicks now have two in three matches, after they won 8-4 at home against 3rd placed The C Team to move off the bottom of the table by 6 points. On a great night for the hosts, Val Batey, Dee Adams and Adrian Barrett all won both their frames during the match.

Nomads 2-10 Ari Potters

The final match of the week saw Ari Potters pull off a fantastic result, winning 10-2 away from home against Nomads, to pinch 4th spot from them in the process. Winning both halves 5-1, Ari Potters had Nathan Davis, Mark Wilkins, Paul Court and Josh Wook all winning twice on the night.

Looking Ahead...

League leaders Hot Shots have their bye week, and looking to take advantage of that are Weavers' Beavers & Balls, who start Gameweek 9 just three points behind and will be looking to claim top spot going into the Christmas break. Third placed The C Team are also at home this week, as they take on 5th placed Nomads, with both teams looking to get back to winning ways. Elsewhere, 4th placed Ari Potters host bottom side The Feathers, and 6th placed Misfits travel to 7th placed Dairy Maid Krazies, with the sides just a point apart in the table.
