Washington Weavers 2-10 Dirty Ari

Dirty Ari moved 15 points clear at the top of the Division 1 table this week after a big 10-2 win over 7th placed Washington Weavers. After Dirty Ari whitewashed the first half 6-0, Washington Weavers did eventually get a couple of frames, but second wins on the night for Paul Freshwater, Kevin Smith, Jason Harper and Steve Smith helped Dirty Ari complete the big victory.

Dairy Maid 'A' 5-7 Shootpool Blues

Shootpool Blues stayed in second place thanks to a narrow 7-5 away win against 6th placed Dairy Maid 'A'. After sharing the first four frames, Shootpool Blues took control with the next three, which included a second of the match for Ali Munro, to lead 5-2. A second for Grant Mullender helped Dairy Maid 'A' back to 5-4, but the Shootpool Blues win was wrapped up when Ben Bantham and Frank Almeida both won their second of the night as well.

Shootpool 8-4 The Roths

Shootpool remain in third place, after an 8-4 home win The Roths over 4th placed The Roths to make the gap between the sides extend to 7 points. Mike Collins, Adam Green and Ben Collins all won both their frames on the night for the hosts.

Wonky Shot 8-4 Kennedy GC

The final match saw Wonky Shot win their first league game of the season with an 8-4 home win against bottom side Kennedy GC. As well as having two frames awarded to them due to a lack of players for the opposition, Wonky Shot had Martin Sullivan and captain Kyle Cairnie both win twice on the night.

Looking Ahead...

Week 9 sees leaders Dirty Ari look to extend their lead at the top of the table as they host 6th placed Dairy Maid 'A'. With second placed Shootpool Blues on their bye week, 3rd placed Shootpool and 4th placed The Roths will be hoping for wins too to close the gap, as they travel to 5th placed Top John and 8th placed Wonky Shot respectively. And the final match of the week sees bottom side Kennedy GC play host to 7th side Washington Weavers.

Also, 2nd placed Shootpool Blues play their postponed fixture with 7th placed Washington Weavers on Weds 4th January, after the match was postponed during Week 7.
