Premier

The Rothschild Arms 3-9 SP Blacks

SP Blacks extended their lead at the top of the Premier this week with a 9-3 away win against The Rothschild Arms. After the first six frames were shared equally between the two sides, SP Blacks then won every frame in the second half to win comfortably, a run that included second wins on the night for the trio of Mike Chappell, Troy Brett and Adam Jackow.

New Zealand "B" 7-5 SP Bullets

2nd placed New Zealand "B" lost some ground on the league leaders, but were still victorious as they claimed a 7-5 home win over 4th placed SP Bullets. After the hosts stormed into a 3-0 lead, the match was level at 3-3 at the half time break, but second wins on the night from Keith Jones and Doug Campbell helped New Zealand "B" get the win in the second half, despite two wins each for Sonnie O'Sullivan and Ryan Englefield in reply for SP Bullets.

Shootpool Sharks 10-2 The Brickslayers

Shootpool Sharks stayed in third place in the table, and kept up their own run of good form to stay within touching distance of the top two sides, with a resounding 10-2 home win against The Brickslayers, that saw David Feore, Robin Meads and Gordon Sweeney all win twice on the night.

Shootpool 'A' 7-5 New Zealand 'A'

Shootpool 'A' picked up their first win in four matches with a much needed 7-5 home win over 9th placed New Zealand 'A' to move up to 5th place in the table. There was two wins each on the night for Shootpool 'A' pair Richard Ilsley and Justin Hooley, and for Dennis Walton and Brian Lopez in return for New Zealand 'A'.

Honey Bee Stingerz 9-3 The Vic Club

Honey Bee Stingerz moved out of the bottom two and up into 7th place in the table with a 9-3 win over bottom side The Vic Club. Winning eight of the first nine frames, the hosts were always in control, with Tim White, Jimmy Surguy, Nick Tilley and captain Jeremy Collins all picking up two wins each.

Division 1

Dirty Ari 5-7 Shootpool

3rd placed Shootpool blew the Division 1 title race wide open with a 7-5 away win against the previously unbeaten league leaders Dirty Ari. Two wins each for Ben Collins and Mike Collins helped Shootpool race into a 7-2 lead, before Dirty Ari won the last few to reduce the deficit. The result leaves Dirty Ari only two points clear, albeit with a game in hand, but certainly makes things a lot closer at the top of the table.

Shootpool Blues 7-5 Wonky Shot

With the leaders losing, Shootpool Blues picked up an important victory of their own, narrowly winning 7-5 against 7th placed Wonky Shot, with the two wins for Frank Almeida ultimately being the difference between the two sides.

Top John 3-9 The Roths

4th placed The Roths won for the third straight week to move just 6 points off second and 8 off top spot, after they beat 5th placed Top John 9-3 away from home. Stuart Ladyman, Lewis Richards and Glenn Baxter were all double winners on the night as The Roths picked up the resounding win against their former venue neighbours.

Kennedy GC 8-4 Dairy Maid 'A'

The final game saw Kennedy GC come back from 3-0 down to pick up their first win of the league season with an 8-4 home victory 6th placed Dairy Maid 'A'. The result still leaves them 14 points from safety, but may be the catalyst for a late push for survival. Alex Batte won twice on the night for Kennedy GC, as did Grant Mullender in reply for Dairy Maid 'A'.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Division 2

Dairy Maid Krazies 4-8 Weavers' Beavers & Balls

League leaders Weavers' Beavers & Balls kept up their fantastic run of form, winning for the ninth consecutive week with an 8-4 away victory against 6th placed Dairy Maid Krazies. After the first half frames were shared between the two sides, second wins on the night for Chris Boggon, Zenya Heap and Robert Garrood helped the visitors win five of the remaining six frames to complete the victory.

Hot Shots 10-2 The Ari Chicks

Second placed Hot Shots kept up their own title aspirations, and managed to close the gap to the leaders to just six points, with a dominant 10-2 home victory over 8th placed The Ari Chicks, with Liam King, Owen Garland, Phiona Musavengana and captain Tracy Playford all winning twice on the night for the hosts.

The C Team 9-0 The Feathers

3rd placed The C Team were awarded the 9-0 victory after bottom side The Feathers were unable to fulfil the fixture due to a lack of players.

Ari Potters 5-7 Misfits

With Nomads on their bye week, Ari Potters jumped up into their 4th spot, despite falling to a 7-5 defeat to 7th placed Misfits. Despite trailing 3-1 early on, Misfits fought back well, with Andy Logan and debutant Korben Lewis both winning twice to help them claim the away victory.
