Premier

SP Blacks 9-3 The Brickslayers

SP Blacks remained five points clear at the top of the Premier this week after a 9-3 home win against 8th placed The Brickslayers. After trailing 2-1 early on, SP Blacks came back strong, winning the next five frames, and 8 of the last 9, to win the match convincingly in the end, with Troy Brett, Adam Jackow and Tye Edwards all winning two frames each on the night.

New Zealand 'A' 3-9 New Zealand "B"

Just like the match above, there was a 9-3 score line, as 2nd placed New Zealand "B" beat 9th placed neighbours New Zealand 'A', and also like in the other match, New Zealand "B" found themselves 2-1 down before recovering well and winning comfortably. Keith Jones, Brian Keeble and Ade Lansdown were the double winners on the night for New Zealand "B".

Honey Bee Stingerz 2-10 Shootpool Sharks

Shootpool Sharks edged a point closer to the league leaders, as they resoundingly won 10-2 away from home against 7th placed Honey Bee Stingerz. Shootpool Sharks led 3-0 and 4-2, before a second half whitewash gave them the big win, largely thanks to two wins each for the trio of Chris Mottau, Steve Dutton and Gordon Sweeney

SP Bullets 7-5 The Rothschild Arms

4th placed SP Bullets got back to winning ways this week, as they edged to a narrow 7-5 win over 6th placed The Rothschild Arms. Both sides led at various times throughout the match in a topsy-turvy game, but the two wins each for SP Bullets pair Ryan Englefield and Kyle O'Brien ended up being the difference between the two sides.

The Vic Club 7-5 Shootpool 'A'

The final game saw The Vic Club pick up their first league win of the season with a 7-5 home win over 5th placed Shootpool 'A'. Two wins a piece for Steve Marshall, Mark Tumilty and Mark Birch helped the division's bottom side pull off the much-needed victory.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Division 1

Wonky Shot 4-8 Dirty Ari

Division 1 leaders Dirty Ari got back to winning ways with an 8-4 away win over 6th placed Wonky Shot, to open up an 8-point lead at the top of the table, and still with a game in hand. After leading 5-1 at the break, there was second wins of the match in the second half for Dirty Ari trio Jason Harper, Matt Cousins and captain Kevin Smith.

The Roths 8-4 Shootpool Blues

2nd placed Shootpool Blues lost serious ground on the league leaders, and are now only 2nd place by virtue of frame difference, as 3rd placed The Roths were 8-4 victors in this important match for league position. The difference between the sides on the night was the two frames won on the night for Stuart Ladyman, and the two frames awarded due to Shootpool Blues only having five available players for the match.

Top John 7-5 Kennedy GC

The final match of the gameweek saw 5th placed Top John end a run of four straight defeats, with a narrow 7-5 home win against bottom side Kennedy GC, with Josh Corcoran and Evan Wakelam both winning twice on the night for the hosts.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Division 2

Weavers' Beavers & Balls 8-4 Hot Shots

Weavers' Beavers & Balls took a huge step towards the Division 2 title this week with an 8-4 home victory against their nearest opposition, 2nd placed Hot Shots, to open up a 12-point lead at the top of the table. A dominant first half saw Weavers' Beavers & Balls lead 5-1 at the break, before second wins for Zenya Heap and captain Jay Smith saw the hosts over the win line, despite Mike Hurst winning twice in reply for Hot Shots.

Dairy Maid Krazies 6-6 The C Team

3rd placed The C Team missed the chance to move up the table after they were held to a 6-6 draw by 6th placed Dairy Maid Krazies. Two wins each from Steve Williams and Rick Dawson helped Dairy Maid Krazies into a 5-3 lead, but two wins for Angus Kay, and a last-frame win for captain Jake Bartlett saw The C Team rescue the draw.

The Ari Chicks 4-8 Ari Potters

4th placed Ari Potters made it 3 wins in their last 4 with an 8-4 win in the Aristocrat derby against 9th placed The Ari Chicks. Two wins each for Ari Potters pair Sam Arnold and Paul Court was the difference between the two neighbouring teams.

Misfits 8-4 Nomads

The final match saw 7th placed Misfits win 8-4 at home against 5th placed Nomads, with two wins each for Andy Logan and the debuting Gary Prince. With the sides level at 3-3, a good second half saw Misfits run away with it.
