Premier

SP Blacks 8-4 The Vic Club

SP Blacks led 4-0 and 7-2 on their way to an 8-4 against bottom side The Vic Club, but they saw their lead at the top of the league get reduced to just one point. Mike Chappell, Troy Brett and Andy Taylor were the double winners on the night for the league leaders, as the Premier title race continues to get closer by the week.

New Zealand "B" 9-3 Shootpool Sharks

New Zealand "B" closed that gap to the top to just one point with two games to play after they won 9-3 against 3rd placed Shootpool Sharks. Like the game before, New Zealand "B" stormed into a lead, going 5-0 up before Shootpool Sharks got off the mark. Keith Jones, Doug Campbell and Brian Keeble all won their second frames of the match in the second half to claim the victory.

SP Bullets 6-6 New Zealand 'A'

4th placed SP Bullets let 3-1, 5-3 and 6-4 leads slip as they were held to a 6-6 draw by New Zealand 'A', who move out of the bottom two with the points. Ryan Englefield and Kyle O'Brien both won twice on the night for SP Bullets, as did Kingsley Dudley in reply for New Zealand 'A'.

The Rothschild Arms 7-5 Shootpool 'A'

The Rothschild Arms came back from 5-4 down to win the final three frames and claim a 7-5 home win over Shootpool 'A', to replace their opponents in 5th place in the table. There were two wins each for The Rothschild Arms pair Marc Reading and Dan McIntyre, and also for Shootpool 'A''s Justin Hooley.

The Brickslayers 8-4 Honey Bee Stingerz

The final game saw two wins each for Neil Bartholomew, Lars Bjart and Darren McGeorge help 7th placed The Brickslayers to a 8-4 home win against now-9th placed Honey Bee Stingerz, who had Gary East win twice in reply. The hosts also led 7-1 at one stage before the visitors won towards the end to keep the score line down.

Division 1

Dirty Ari 9-3 Kennedy GC

League leaders Dirty Ari are now champions elect in Division 1, as they have an unassailable lead at the top of Divsion 1, after they wrapped up a comfortable 9-3 home win against 8th placed Kennedy GC. Two awarded frames, plus two wins for Jason Harper and Paul Freshwater helped Dirty Ari to the victory to leave them 21 points clear of 2nd place, and 27 points clear of 3rd, who still have two games to play.

Shootpool 7-5 Wonky Shot

3rd placed Shootpool helped their claim for a top two finish after they secured a 7-5 home win over Wonky Shot, thanks to a last-frame winner from captain Teresa Collins, as she and Mike Collins both won twice for their side. Nigel Playford and Jake Welsh did both win twice in reply for Wonky Shot, but it wasn't enough to avoid defeat.

Dairy Maid 'A' 4-8 Top John

The other Division 1 match saw trio Mark Kane, Max Burgess and captain Jordan Maxwell Hoff all win twice as 5th placed Top John beat 6th place Dairy Maid 'A' in an important match for 5th position in the table.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Division 2

Nomads 7-5 Hot Shots

With league leaders Weavers' Beavers & Balls on their bye week, 2nd placed Hot Shots had a chance to close the gap, but fell to a 7-5 defeat against Nomads, who move up to 4th place with the victory. Hot Shots took the lead three times in the first half, but each time Nomads levelled the game up, before going ahead in the second half. Two wins from Simon Park proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Ari Potters 10-2 The C Team

3rd placed Ari Potters still have an outside chance of finishing in the top two as they kept up their good run of form, claiming a convincing 10-2 home win against The C Team. The early stages were level at 2-2, but two wins each for Tony Friston, Sam Arnold, Gabriel Merry and captain Vicky Friston helped Ari Potters win the next eight frames without reply to claim the big win.

The Feathers 6-6 Dairy Maid Krazies

Dairy Maid Krazies remain in 6th place in the table, but were held to a 6-6 by 8th placed The Feathers. Two wins each for Rick Dawson and Rupert Hawthorne helped Dairy Maid Krazies into a 5-4 lead, but The Feathers fought back with second wins of the night for Jordan Johnson and Brian Montgomery.

Misfits 8-4 The Ari Chicks

The final game saw seven different players register wins for 7th placed Misfits, as they won 8-4 at home against bottom side The Ari Chicks, who had Gary Batey and Billie Dutton win twice on the night. For the victorious Misfits, Gary Rockett won both of his frames as well.
