Premier

Honey Bee Stingerz 2-10 SP Blacks

SP Blacks now sit 4 points clear at the top of the Premier with just one game to go, after a resounding 10-2 away win against 9th placed Honey Bee Stingerz. Two wins for Andy Taylor helped the league leaders storm into a 7-0 lead before they lost a couple of frames, but second wins for Troy Brett and Peter Ward made sure of the big win.

New Zealand "B" 7-5 The Rothschild Arms

2nd placed New Zealand "B" would have wanted to match or better the SP Blacks result, but struggled to a 7-5 win over 6th placed The Rothschild Arms. New Zealand "B" took the lead four times, but each time, The Rothschild Arms won the following frames to level the match. From 4-4, New Zealand "B" won the next two, including a second on the night for Doug Campbell, but a second for George Langley kept the visitors in the match. But a second win for Brian Keeble in the final frame handed the win to New Zealand "B". Also in the match, there was two wins for the Premier Most Wins winner Keith Jones.

Shootpool Sharks 8-4 New Zealand 'A'

3rd placed Shootpool Sharks were 8-4 winners at home against 8th placed New Zealand 'A'. The visitors took the first frame, but Shootpool Sharks won the next six, including two wins for Martin Langley. New Zealand 'A' did win a few frames towards the end, but second wins for Chris Mottau and Joe Mcloughlin made sure of the victory.

The Vic Club 7-5 SP Bullets

Bottom side The Vic Club won their second match in three with an impressive 7-5 home win over 4th placed SP Bullets. There was two wins each for The Vic Club pair Oliver Burgess and Darren Stone, and for SP Bullets duo Ryan Englefield and Sonnie O'Sullivan. Trailing 4-3, The Vic Club won four of the final five frames to claim the win.

Shootpool 'A' 7-5 The Brickslayers

Shootpool 'A' moved back into 5th place in the table with a 7-5 home win against 7th placed The Brickslayers. The visitors led 3-1 early on, but two wins for Justin Hooley helped Shootpool 'A' win the next five to lead 6-3. Second wins for Jason Hoff and Steve Curran reduced the deficit, but Chris Eley's second of the night got the hosts over the line.

Division 1

Shootpool Blues 7-5 Dairy Maid 'A'

2nd placed Shootpool Blues ended their season on a high, winning their final match of the season 7-5 against 6th placed Dairy Maid 'A'. Shootpool Blues were in control for most of the match, taking 4-1 and 6-2 leads on their way to the victory. There was also two wins on the night for Shootpool Blues pair Charlie Corbyn and Ali Munro.

The Roths 6-6 Shootpool

3rd placed Shootpool were the only team mathematically able to catch leaders Dirty Ari, but were held to a 6-6 draw with 4th side The Roths. Both sides led early on, before Shootpool moved into a 5-3 lead. Second wins on the night for Glenn Baxter and Rory Sore then flipped the game as The Roths led 6-5, but Ben Collins won his second of the match in the final frame to secure the draw.

Kennedy GC 5-7 Wonky Shot

The final match saw 7th placed Wonky Shot beat 8th placed Kennedy GC 5-7 to ensure that they finish outside the bottom two this season, thanks to two wins for Barry Price. There was also two wins in reply for Kennedy GC's Gerry Murphy, but it wasn't enough to affect the overall result.

Division 2

Weavers' Beavers & Balls 7-5 Misfits

Weavers' Beavers & Balls wrapped up the Division 2 title this week with a 7-5 home win against Misfits, who moved up to 6th. Early on, Weavers' Beavers & Balls won the first five frames to take a commanding lead. Misifts then fought back well, winning four of the next five, before a second win of the night for Zenya Heap made sure of the victory for the hosts.

Hot Shots 8-4 The Feathers

2nd placed Hot Shots ended their season on a high with an 8-4 home win over 8th placed The Feathers. After the first half finished level at 3-3, Owen Garland and Nicola Court both won their second frames of the match as Hot SHots won five of the final six frames to win the match.

Ari Potters 7-5 Nomads

3rd placed Ari Potters kept up their hopes of a top two finish, but will now need a big win next week, after they won 7-5 against 5th placed Nomads. After trailing 2-0, Ari Potters, led 3-2 and 4-3, but both times, Nomads levelled the match up. From 4-4, Ari Potters won the next three to claim the win, including a second win for Nathan Davis, before Nomads' Chris Ball won his second of the night in the final frame.

The C Team 8-4 The Ari Chicks

The final match saw The C Team move up into 4th place after they were 8-4 winners against bottom side The Ari Chicks, with Connor Langridge, Ryan Chandler and Angus Kay all winning both their frames during the match.

Looking Ahead...

Next week sees the final round of matches in the league season, and there's still a lot to play for. League leaders SP Blacks need a 9-3 against 5th placed Shootpool 'A' to claim the title, and 2nd placed New Zealand "B" will be looking for a big win as they travel to 7th side The Brickslayers to try and close the gap. Elsewhere, The Vic Club will avoid bottom spot with a 10-2 win against 8th side New Zealand 'A'.

In Division 1, champions Dirty Ari travel to 6th Dairy Maid 'A' in a big match as far as Most Wins is concerned, with the top 4 players all involved in the match. 3rd placed Shootpool will claim 2nd spot if they can secure a win against 5th placed Top John.

And in Division 2, 3rd placed Ari Potters can nab 2nd spot if they manage a 10-2 win against The Feathers, and it's top vs bottom as champions Weavers' Beavers & Balls travel to The Ari Chicks.
