SP Blacks 7-5 Shootpool 'A' and The Brickslayers 3-9 New Zealand "B"
The title race for this season's Premier went right down to the wire, and as the top two were both playing their final matches of the season against mid-table sides, both would have been confident of victories. The first few frames in both matches went to form, with SP Blacks taking a 4-1 lead, and New Zealand "B" leading 5-1 at half time.
Shootpool 'A' pulled a couple of frames back in their match, but after Keith Jones and Doug Campbell both won their second frames for New Zealand "B", The Brickslayers pulled a couple of frames back at 7-3. This meant that the maths for SP Blacks was clear - win the match and win the league. But after Mike Chappell and Troy Brett won their second of the night, second wins for Justin Hooley and Richard Meek for Shootpool 'A' got the match back to 6-5 and the pressure was on.
Over in the other game, second wins of the evening for Paul Kanchanlall and Ade Lansdown meant that the New Zealand "B" ended their match with a 9-3 win. This meant that if Peter Ward won the final frame for SP Blacks, they would win the title by two points, but if he lost, the top two would have finished level on points, and New Zealand "B" would have won the title by the tie-break of winning more matches over the season.
And the final frame came down to the final ball, but Peter remained calmest and potted the black to win his second of the night and claim the title for SP Blacks.
The Rothschild Arms 4-8 Shootpool Sharks
Shootpool Sharks finished in third place, as they won the final four frames of their match with 6th placed The Rothschild Arms to win 8-4 and finish the season with back-to-back wins. The run of four frames for Shootpool Sharks included a second on the night for Robert Mutch, and a first win of the league season for Penny Mines, while earlier in the match Luke Butler won two for The Rothschild Arms. Shootpool Sharks also face league champions SP Blacks in the KO Cup Final in two weeks time.
SP Bullets 9-3 Honey Bee Stingerz
SP Bullets ended a run of four games without a win by winning 9-3 against Honey Bee Stingerz, who ended the season in 9th. There was two wins each for Elliot Riley, Kyle O'Brien, Wayne Thorne and Sonnie O'Sullivan, with the latter two playing in the Doubles Final next week, and the whole team plays one more time this season, as they take on Division 1 side Top John in the Plate Final the week later.
New Zealand 'A' 8-4 The Vic Club
New Zealand 'A' jumped up to 7th place in the table on the final day after they were 8-4 winners against bottom side The Vic Club. After trailing 2-0 early on, New Zealand 'A' won the next five to take control, and second wins of the night for Stephen Page, Kingsley Dudley and Brian Lopez made sure of the win for the hosts.
PREMIER - MOST WINS
Keith Jones of New Zealand "B" was the runaway winner of the Premier Most Wins this season, winning 32 of his 36 matches, ending the season on 32-4, and a win rate of 88.89%. He was a full eight wins clear of his closest challengers, Mike Chappell of SP Blacks and Justin Hooley of Shootpool 'A', who finished with records of 24-4 and 24-7 respectively. The top 5 was completed by two more SP Blacks players, Troy Brett and Adam Jackow, who ended one win behind the top 3, on 23-4 and 23-7 respectively.

3) Justin Hooley - Shootpool 'A' - P31 W24 L7 (77.42%)
