SP Blacks 10-1 Top John

Number 1 seeds SP Blacks have one foot in the semi-finals after they had a dominant 10-1 victory in the first leg against Top John, meaning that they are just two frames from victory overall, and a semi final against the winners of the SP Bullets vs Fubar match. Troy Brett, Andy Taylor, Dave Green, Danny Lee and Adam Jackow all won two frames each for SP Blacks, who won the first nine frames of the match before dropping a frame.

The New Zealand 8-3 Phil's Enthusiasm Never Inspires Success

Second seeds The New Zealand also have a healthy advantage to take into the second leg after an 8-3 home win over Phil's Enthusiasm Never Inspires Success. Winning the first seven frames meant the victory was never in doubt for The New Zealand, but Phil's Enthusiasm Never Inspires Success did well to recover and win three of the final four frames to give themselves something to play for in the second leg. Keith Jones and Paul Kanchanlall both won two frames each for the hosts on the night.

The Vic Club 6-5 The Roths

The closest match of the quarter finals came as The Vic Club edged past The Roths 6-5. The Vic Club raced into a 4-1 lead early on, but The Roths soon found themselves level at 4-4 after Rory Sore had won for the second time of the match. A second win for Oliver Burgess did then make sure of the win for The Vic Club, before The Roths won the doubles to keep the deficit down to a minimum. Whoever claims the all-important 12th point in the second leg will take on the winners of the The New Zealand vs Phil's Enthusiasm Never Inspires Success match in the semi finals.

SP Bullets 8-3 Fubar

SP Bullets also have a healthy lead in the final quarter final after they claimed an 8-3 over last season's beaten finalists Fubar. Two wins each for Two wins each for Sonnie O'Sullivan, Wayne Thorne and current stats leader Jarrad Cross helped SP Bullets win both halves of the match for the decent win, despite Robin Meads winning two in return for Fubar.
