SP Blacks won the first leg on this encounter 7-4 last week, meaning they needed just five frames to claim victory and book their place in the final, and were well on their way when Troy Brett and Mike Chappell won the opening two frames. SP Bullets prolonged the game for a short while after wins for Elliot Riley and James Connor, either side of a Peter Ward win for SP Blacks. But an awarded frame put SP Blacks just won frame from victory, and when Andy Taylor potted the black in the first frame of the second half, SP Blacks made it through to their first Summer League final since 2016.

The New Zealand made very short work of their second leg of their semi final, needing only the three frames after their 3-1 win last week. Wins for Keith Jones, Larry Baker and Paul Kanchanlall got the job done in just four frames, with Glenn Baxter getting The Roths' only point of the evening. The 12-3 aggregate victory sees The New Zealand sees reach their first Summer League final since they were victorious in the 2019 final.

SUMMER LEAGUE FINAL

A final between SP Blacks and The New Zealand is no surprise considering the two teams were the top two seeds in this year's Group Stage, and also as the majority of the The New Zealand are New Zealand "B". who finished runner-up to SP Blacks in the AIPL season just gone. In the Summer League itself and under these team names though the two sides last faced off in the 2019 semi-finals, with the sides both winning a leg each, but with The New Zealand taking the match 12-10 overall. Leading the way individually is The New Zealand's captain Larry Baker, who currently leads the Most Wins on 16-2, one clear of SP Blacks' Troy Brett.
