The C Team Win Big to Become Co-Leaders With Misfits

The Ari Chicks 2-10 The C Team

The C Team claimed a big 10-2 away win against 7th placed The Ari Chicks, to wipe out the gap between themselves and the top of the table, and are now the co-leaders of Division 2. The C Team won the first eight frames without reply, with the trio of Angus Kay, Neil Cato and Jake Bartlett all winning twice on the night.

Misfits 7-5 Vic 8-Ball

Despite losing their lead at the top, Misfits still remain joint-top of the league, and kept up their unbeaten run, as they won 7-5 at home against Vic 8-Ball, who drop to 4th with the defeat. The visitors took a 3-2 lead in the first half, before Misfits won the next three to take over. Vic 8-Ball kept in the match till the very end, but second wins of the match for Ross Robins and Tony Festa secured the win for Misfits.

Shoot 'Em Up 9-3 The Renegades

Shoot 'Em Up moved up into third place in the table after they claimed their third successive league win, claiming a 9-3 home win against 8th placed The Renegades. Shoot 'Em Up took a 3-0 lead early on before The Renegades got off the mark. Shoot 'Em Up then won the next four without reply, which included second wins for Mike Hurst and Jack Stewart, before The Renegades' Jack Lumley won his second for the visitors. But the big win was wrapped up when Gareth Hart and Stephen Nanan got their second wins late on.

Dairy Maid Krazies 8-4 Bees Knees

5th placed Dairy Maid Krazies secured back to back wins for the first time this season after they won 8-4 at home against bottom side Bees Knees. Despite being 2-1 down early on, Dairy Maid Krazies took control after that, winning the next five, which included a second of the night for Rupert Hawthorne, with Bees Knees' Charles Allen winning two in return for Bees Knees.

The Feathers 7-5 The Partridge

The final game of the week saw 6th placed The Feathers edge to a 7-5 home win against 9th placed The Partridge. The Feathers took a 4-0 lead, but The Partridge won the next three to get back into it. There was a second win for Ed Steel as the visitors threatened to claim the draw, but late second wins for Brian Montgomery and Billy Tottle made sure of the win forThe Feathers.

Looking Ahead...

The AIPL Singles Round 2 takes place next week, but the league returns on the 13th December for the last fixture of the year, and final game of the half-season, and sees co-leaders The C Team host 3rd placed Shoot 'Em Up in the big game of the week, whilst the other co-leaders Misfits have a derby game against venue neighbours The Renegades. Elsewhere, 4th placed Vic 8-Ball will be hoping to end the lsoing run, but have a tough match hosting 5th placed Dairy Maid Krazies, and 6th placed The Feathers travel to 7th placed The Ari Chicks. The final game sees the bottom two sides face off as Bees Knees host The Partridge.
