C Team Go 5 Clear After Top Of Table Clash

The C Team won the top-of-the-table battle in Division 2 this week, winning 7-5 away from home against Misfits to open up a five point gap between the two sides. Despite going 2-0 down early on, The C Team came back well, and won next five frames to lead 5-2. Misfits then won the next two to get back into the game at 5-4, but The C Team made sure of the win as Ryan Chandler won for the second time in the match, before Misfits captain won his second in the final frame.

The Partridge 3-9 Vic 8-Ball

Vic 8-Ball convincingly won 9-3 away from home against joint-bottom side The Partridge to keep hold of third spot in the table, and close to the gap to the top to just seven points. After winning the first half 4-2, Vic 8-Ball pushed on in the second half, winning five of the six second-half frames, which included second wins on the night for the trio of Mark Robinson, Paul Knight and Pete Slaymaker.

Shoot 'Em Up 9-3 The Ari Chicks

Shoot 'Em Up moved back into 4th place in the table with a 9-3 home win against 8th placed The Ari Chicks. The two sides were even in the first half, drawing the half 3-3, but the second half saw Shoot 'Em Up claim the whitewash, winning all six frames, which was a run that included second wins of the match for the trio of Chris Lester, Gareth Hart and captain Nicola Court.

The Feathers 6-6 Bees Knees

The Feathers dropped down to 5th spot after they were held to

a 6-6 draw by Bees Knees, who moved off the foot of the table with the points. It was a complete game of two halves, as The Feathers raced into a 5-1 lead at half time, but Bees Knees fought well brilliantly in the second half, as they won five of the next six, including the final three, to rescue the draw from the jaws of defeat. Within the match, there was two wins for Bees Knees' Chase Caswell.

Dairy Maid Krazies 6-6 The Renegades

6th placed Dairy Maid Krazies incredibly drew their sixth match this season in only ten matches, drawing 6-6 with 7th placed The Renegades. It was the The Renegades who had the stronger first half, taking a 4-2 lead at the break, but second wins for Rupert Hawthorne and Kathryn Brennan helped Dairy Maid Krazies take a 5-4 lead soon after. Second wins of the match for Alex Batte and Antony Lane put The Renegades 6-5 up, but the draw was secured with a win for Alex Slater of Dairy Maid Krazies.

Looking Ahead...

The Knock Out Cup and Plate Cup take centre stage next week with the Last 16, but the league returns the week after, and leaders The C Team face an away day to draw specialists Dairy Maid Krazies, and 2nd placed Misfits play host to 8th placed The Ari Chicks. Elsewhere, 3rd placed Vic 8-Ball are away against Bees Knees, and 4th placed Shoot 'Em Up are at home against 5th placed The Feathers in a big match for position. The final match sees joint-bottom side The Partridge host 7th placed The Renegades.
