Shootpool Sharks 4-8 SP Blacks

SP Blacks took a huge step towards the Premier title after they won 4-8 against 4th placed Shootpool Sharks to open up a 14-point lead at the top of the table. SP Blacks won the opening five frames to take control of the match, before Shootpool Sharks won three of the next four to get a foothold in the match. But second wins of the match for SP Blacks trio Adam Jackow, Mitch Lee and Dave Green made sure of the victory, before Robert Mutch won the final frame for his second of the night as well.

The New Roth'mans' 5-7 Bradmoor Bullets

The lead at the top of the table was further helped as 2nd placed The New Roth'mans' fell to second defeat in as many gameweeks, as they were beaten 5-7 at home by 5th placed Bradmoor Bullets. Despite losing the first frame, Bradmoor Bullets soon found themselves 3-1 up, but the half ended level at 3-3. Two wins for Paul Kanchanlall helped The New Roth'mans' stay in the game up until it was 5-5, but second wins on the night for Bradmoor Bullets pair Steve Dutton and Ryan Englefield secured the impressive victory.

Shootpool 'A' 8-4 New Zealand 'A'

3rd placed Shootpool 'A' closed the gap to second place to just two points, and also kept up their unbeaten run with an 8-4 home win against New Zealand 'A', who drop to 8th in the table with the defeat. After losing the first frame, Shootpool 'A' won the next five frames to take a decent lead into the break. Doug Campbell won twice for New Zealand 'A', but second wins of the match for Kyle O'Brien, Chris Eley and Richard Herring got Shootpool 'A' over the win line.

Bradmoor 'A' 8-4 The Brickslayers

Bradmoor 'A' also moved up to 6th in the table with an 8-4 home win over 9th placed The Brickslayers. Bradmoor 'A' raced into a 5-0 lead before two wins for Steve Curran helped The Brickslayers get back into the game. However Bradmoor 'A' got the win when the trio of Marc Reading, Dan McIntyre and the debuting Matty Donaldson all won their second frames of the match in the second half.

Dirty Ari 10-2 SP3

7th placed Dirty Ari returned to the form from the opening day of the season as they racked up a 10-2 home win over bottom side SP3. Dirty Ari comfortably won both halves of the match, with Steve Smith, Jason Harper, Elliot Riley, Tim Moran and captain Kevin Smith all winning both of their frames during the match.

Looking Ahead...

The Knock Out Cup and Plate Cup take centre stage next week with the Last 16, but the league returns the week after, and will see top face bottom as leaders SP Blacks hosting bottom side SP3, while 2nd placed The New Roth'mans' will be looking to return to form as they host 8th placed New Zealand 'A'. Elsewhere, there's big games for position, with 3rd placed Shootpool 'A' at home against 4th placed Shootpool Sharks, and 5th placed Bradmoor Bullets travel to 6th placed Bradmoor 'A'. The final game sees 7th placed Dirty Ari host 9th placed The Brickslayers
