Shoot Pool Tournaments - Big League
The Big League started with Season 1, which started in September 2017. The tournaments are exclusively played at Shoot Pool & Snooker, and run weekly on Saturday nights.
The format is there are weekly round robin tournaments where players try to win the weekly tournament for cash prizes, but also gain points towards qualification to the final tournament, where only the top 8 players from the weekly round robins qualify.
Season 1 was won by Julian Lefevre, who won all 9 of his matches in the final tournament, including a 5-4 final victory over David Feore to become the inaugural Big League Champion.
Season 2 was uncompleted, as the final between Julian Lefevre and Shelley McDermott did not get played, so the two players shared the prize pot.
Season 3 saw David Feore become the first player to not win the Final Week group stage but win the final tournament after he beat Martin Langley 5-4 in the final after finishing second in the group phase.
David Feore repeated that feat again in Season 4, when after finishing second in the round robin, he went on to beat Jamie Whittaker 5-3 in the final to become two-time champion.

Weekly Points System
Points are awarded based on finishing positions for each individual entrant in each weekly tournament.
Note: Group Stages 2nd is only for second placed group finishers who don't qualify for the knockout stages.
All players have the chance to earn bonus point(s) per entrant that takes part in the weekly tournament, based on their finishing position in the Weekly Tournament. Bonus points are awarded by multiplying the Bonus Points per Entrant value against the total number of entrants in the Weekly Tournament.
E.g. If the Winner earns a Bonus Points per Entrant of 1.0 and there are 20 entrants in the tournament, the Winner will earn 20 bonus points.
E.g. If entrants finishing 4th in the group stages earn a Bonus Points per Entrant of 0.5 and there are 20 entrants in the tournament, any entrants finishing 4th will earn 10 bonus points.
The Top 8 players in the Overall Standings after all of the individual weeks will qualify for the Finals Week.
